How NOT to relax at the weekend........

Hello! It's been a couple of weeks since I've found the time to write my dailyish blog. We've been extremely busy with customer orders which is great, this in turn means we are extra busy making fresh products, answering customer enquiries, posting out orders and keeping up with social media

At the end of Gemma's shift on Friday our label printer actually blew up with a loud bang! To be fair it had done us well, we've had it for about 5 years and it's printed off many 1000's of parcel labels, and at least it was polite enough to wait until she'd printed off her final Saturday label. I've been able to aquire a new printer over the weekend and our little parcel packing section is back to speed again.

I thought I'd just share this amusing little tale from my weekend jaunt. On Saturday night myself, my brother and my sister in law, along with my niece, attended a beautiful location, Plas Newydd stately home on Anglesey, for what we thought was a Dance Music Proms Night. There had been the same event on the Friday night and I'd had many friends attend and tell me how good it was, dancing late into the evening on the banks of the Menai Straights, so we were very much looking forward to our evening. The weather was beautiful, a warm early September evening. As we were entering we noticed how many of the attendees were much older than us and even had a little smile at the idea of all the 'older ravers' We set up our foldaway chairs and picnic blankets, got out the picnic, cracked open the Prosecco and settled in for an evening of dancing and banging tunes..........except as the support act were playing we were quite confused as it didn't seem the sort of musical build up to a dance event that we were expecting, all of a sudden it dawned on us that we were at the wrong event........that the dance music event we thought we were at (and paid good money for I should add!) was the night before and Saturday's event was totally different and was a lovely but sedate Proms in the Park - all very beautiful but when you are expecting to rave and you are faced with Land Of Hope And Glory it's not quite the same vibe! Let's say my teenage niece was not too impressed!! So there I was in the most beautiful location, in my festival denim hot pants and wellies, ready to rave and there was nothing else to do but lie on the hill and try to roll into the Menai Straights! The moral of this story is to check the name of the event before you book, don't be like us!!

Have a great week everyone! Dawn
