POSTAGE POLICY

** Ammended due to Covid19 emergency **

During the Covid19 outbreak The Good Soap is still running as best as it possibly can. We will still be taking orders, wrapping orders and posting orders out in accordance with permitted work as an online retail business. However this will be under constant review.

Parcels will be taken to the Post Office on a Tuesday and on a Friday to adhere to social distancing advice, for my own safety and the safety of others at the Post Office. All parcels will be sent out first class postage. Please have patience at this time as regards delivery times, I am doing my best but there may be a slightly longer wait than normal for your parcel to be dispatched. Also in some areas Royal Mail may be short of staff and this might create delays. 

Your postman / lady can leave your parcel on your doorstep or in a safe place so you do not have to have contact. We advise you to leave a note on your door for your delivery person. The Good Soap will be able to access a delivery notification through Royal Mail tracking when your parcel has been delivered. 

** Until a parcel has been in the system for over 14 WORKING days I cannot start to investigate as it is not classed as missing by Royal Mail up to that point. After 14 working days since dispatch from us you need to contact your local sorting office directly to ask about your parcel, with your postcode and address. If they do not have the parcel then please contact me at dawn@thegoodsoap.co.uk  I cannot start tracing invividual parcels until the steps above have taken place so please inform me in your email of what your sorting office said so I can work from that. At The Good Soap all items are hand made and hand wrapped individually for you. We are not an 'off the shelf' company. We are a home run business working as hard as we can to get your orders to you and we very much value your custom.

We do our best to wrap your parcel on the day or day after your order comes to us depending on demand, and then take it to the post office on the following day, give or take the weekend or bank holiday (ammended due to Covid19) You will get a dispatch email when your parcel is wrapped and ready to go. Your patience will be much appreciated, as you can be assured that we are going as quickly as we can. 

Your items will be sent to you by Royal Mail. Royal Mail first class post usually takes 1-2 working days, second class postage a little longer - be patient, it can take a little longer than this but once a parcel has been dispatched from my care it is out of my hands.

  • Please try to contact me about postage issues during working hours, 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. I cannot investigate or deal with your query out of these hours. This would be much appreciated thank you. 
  • Please allow reasonable time for delivery. If a parcel is delayed in the post I cannot start investigations with Royal Mail until 14 working days after the date of postage.
  • Damaged Parcels - very occasionally parcels can get damaged in the postal system. Please inform me if this happens and I will do my best to rectify.
  • Please allow time for Bank Holiday delays.
