Some of our soap making sessions have been disturbed by the weather!
Here in North Wales, like the rest of the country, we have had quite turbulent weather, including hurricanes and high winds, and snow. On top of that we lost water here in our area, due to a burst in the Welsh Water system. That was quite awkward as you can imagine, having to stop soap production was the least of our problems - no flushing toliet, and no water for the dishwasher, washing machine etc made it impossible for us to continue. It certainly showed us how we all take clean running water fo granted, I've never been so grateful that my water butt was full (used the water to fill up my toilet cistern so we could flush at least once a day) and I never thought I'd be excited at flushing the toilet, which was such a treat when the water came back on.
The knock on effect of extemely busy sales in the run up to Christmas and over New Year meant that our soap shelves were low, then throw in a few days cancelled due to issues mentioned above and it's left us a little behind, with many of our top sellers being out of stock for a few weeks! As many will know it takes at least 4 weeks to get a freshly made cold process soap from pan to parcel. We've been working hard to stock everything up and over the next 7 - 10 days hopfully we will be fuly stocked.
