Who else watched the Olympic opening ceremony?
Last night I watched the ceremony and 3 things struck me. Firstly how many countries there are in the world (really!), the boat parade seemed to last for weeks and there were countries I'd never even heard of. Secondly how it was a bit nuts, but in a good way for me, lots of culture, diversity and inclusion. I even had myself a little rave in my lounge when they had the Europop section. And finally how amazing it is when countries come together in peace, for one aim, for our fantastic athletes to compete. Oh, and Celine Dion, that was a wow moment! After watching her documentary I Am Celine Dion I wasn't sure if we'd ever see her perform again, with her medical condition, so that was lovely to see.
This morning it's a little cold and grey here in N.Wales. Gemma turned up for work with her shorts on, top class bravery! On a Saturday morning Gemma takes Ruby out for a walk for me before opening up the workshop so after doing that she's wrapped all of the customer parcels and got them to the depot. We work as a team on a Saturday morning and soaps unmoulded and popped onto the curing shelves, products labelled and shelved, trays washed, moulds in the washing machine and Gemma has gone on her merry way to enjoy the rest of her weekend.
My plan for the rest of the weekend is to tidy up the large flower bed I have at the back of the garden, it's constantly getting overtaken with nettles and grass so I need to keep on top of it. I'm sure there is something magic in the soil in Deganwy, the grass and plants grow like mad. I also need to deadhead my many rose bushes, I love doing that job. I'll be walking boss dog Ruby a few times, I'll be cleaning the house (the glamour never ends) and hopefully I'll catch up with a friend or two for panads, oh and trying to follow some of the Olympics too! Take care, Dawn x
